Designing a brand to keep kids safe

From the beginning, we knew that the Little Navigators needed to look approachable. Kids shouldn’t feel nervous while getting help.
That meant creating a youthful color scheme and set of brand guidelines. Our message and brand voice needed to appear inviting to children while also appealing to adults who would be seeking help for children in their life.
Developing the Little Navigators brand started with designing a logo. The arrow points upwards to symbolize progress and growth, and the two arrows represent the parent/child relationship. Little Navigators’ logo also ties into The Compass Center, a sister organization centered around helping women in the Sioux Falls area.
